The Museum’s Grand Atrium is home to The Great Gravity Clock! Standing fifty-two feet tall, this incredible piece of science and art is the biggest kinetic energy sculpture in Florida. Since 1993, this unique timepiece is one of the only three that exist in the world. The Grand Atrium has benches and tables for people to gather, eat and enjoy this amazing timepiece! From 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 4, guests of all ages can attend the Regional Resilience Showcase where the winner of the Build a Better World Challenge will be announced.

Build a Better World Challenge

MODS is excited to announce the Build a Better World Challenge, to design solutions to some of our most pressing issues of climate change and resiliency! South Florida students are divided into two categories, Juniors (grades 5th-8th) and Seniors (grades 9th-12th). Finalists will present and be judged at our Festival for the chance to win prizes.
